The Inner Path:
A Five-Day Journey into Yoga Philosophy
~ With SYC Certified Teacher Andrew Hillam

As we move through our daily Mysore practice, we often feel there is a deeper layer waiting to be explored. This Golden Week, we invite you to step off the mat and into the heart of the tradition with a special 5-session Philosophy Package illuminating 5 different aspects of yoga philosophy important in our lineage.
Each session will include chanting, instruction and ample time for questions and discussion.
Day 1 - 30 April, Thu
The Ashtanga Yoga is Hatha Yoga — Often thought to be separate, the traditional Ashtanga practice is itself a form of Hatha Yoga and aims to pacify and harmonise the dual energies of Sun and Moon as a way to bring clarity and stillness within the mind.
Day 2 - 2 May, Sat
Yoga Taravali — The principle text for the Ashtanga Yoga lineage exploring the role of bandhas and pranayama in yoga practice.
Day 3 - 3 May, Sun
The Three D’s — "Yoga practice is 24 hours” — Cultivating Devotion, Determination, and Desire-less Action beyond āsana practice.
Day 4 - 4 May, Mon
Hanuman & Buddhi Yoga — Drawing inspiration from Hanuman, a "great soul” who is beloved by yogis and a role model for all practitioners.
Day 5 - 5 May, Tue
Sharathji’s Ashtanga Yoga — What we can learn from The Active Series - the fruit of Sharathji's 34 years of practice and teaching of traditional Ashtanga Yoga.
